Sunday Morning Religious Education Program
The challenge of being a living witness to the Gospel in our ever-changing world is central to the development of each of us at St. Coleman. We work diligently to cultivate the hearts, minds, and souls of our young students in order that they might reach their full potential and become effective witnesses to the Gospel and God’s love for the world. Students are provided with ample opportunities to live and experience their faith through sound catechesis, Christian service, worship, fellowship, and creative expression.
Our Sunday School program runs September through May in a safe and fun environment of challenge and support. Our catechists assist parents in providing a solid foundation in the Catholic faith for children grades Kindergarten through Confirmation (8th grade).
Our parish provides weekly instruction in the Catholic faith to grade school aged children who attend public or private non-Catholic elementary schools. Our teachers are trained, certified safe and fingerprinted, and dedicated volunteers who follow the same textbook curriculum as acceptable by the Archdiocese of Miami. Our students learn the fundamentals of the faith every year. Each year’s curriculum builds cumulatively on the previous year so that the learning is multi-dimensional and cohesive.
We seek to serve parents/guardians in providing their children with a fuller experience of living out their Catholic identity on a lifelong journey of faith and deepening their relationship with God.
Sacramental Requirements & Celebrations
